Here's an example of all the available shapes you can use to build diagrams. Let's get started building your own diagram:
For more help, click the How it works link at the top of the page.
Toolbox:
Simply select a shape from the Toolbox and then move it anywhere on your diagram.
Hover over any node to see its controls:
If you need to move multiple nodes at one time, drag the selection box over one or more nodes, grab one of the highlighted nodes, and move them all together. To copy one or more nodes, hover over a shape, or multi-select a group of shapes. Then press CTRL+C to copy and CTRL+V to paste. To undo any change, press CTRL+Z. To redo any change, press CTRL+Y.
The diagram canvas is larger than your browser window. If your browser is not Opera, you can pan around in your diagram by right-clicking the canvas and dragging. Otherwise, use the arrow keys on your keyboard or the scroll bars. Zoom in and out using CTRL+ and CTRL- on your keyboard.
This is a single person application, but you can still share a copy of your diagram with the team. Click the Share Diagrams link at the top of the page to print, save your diagram as a PDF, or import or export a backup file of a particular diagram to share with a colleague. (Tip: For best results when printing, adjust the print orientation to "Landscape" and adjust the scale to "Fit to page width" or a value of around 25.)
PRO TIP: Use the SQL Table Builder when creating database diagrams and you can export the entire SQL script needed to create your database from the Share Diagrams screen.
In order to turn your diagram into a slideshow, select and add "Slide" shapes from the Toolbox to your diagram. Create and position as many slides as you like, and Edit them to configure optional title, text, and pause time between slides.
To present your slideshow, click the slideshow icon at the top right of the page, and use the media controls to start/pause/advance through your slides.
Your saved diagrams are stored locally in your browser's storage. Clearing your browser's cache or history can possibly delete all of your saved diagrams!
Be sure to back up your data frequently so that, in case of data loss, you can restore your diagrams from your most recent backup. Simply click the Backup Data button, then copy your backup file from the Download folder to a safe location.
